Looking for an easy, make-ahead weeknight dinner? Need to feed a crowd? Want a taste of Southern comfort food? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this is the recipe you’ve been waiting for!
BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches
2-lb. bone-in pork shoulder
1 20 oz. bottle Coca-Cola
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 yellow onion, sliced
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/ cup water
Salt and pepper
1 bottle favorite BBQ sauce
4 sandwich rolls
1. Layer bottom of crock pot with sliced onions
2. Add pork shoulder to crock pot
3. Add garlic, cola, vinegar and water
4. Season well with salt and pepper
5. Cook at low for 8-12 hours
After 8-12 hours, remove pork from crock pot and drain off liquid, reserving 1/2 cup. Add pork back to crock pot, remove bone and shred with two forks. Add BBQ sauce and some of cooking liquid (if needed).
Toast rolls, top with pulled pork and more BBQ sauce (optional). Enjoy with a side of cole slaw or fresh corn on the cob.

– have you seen TJ’s ready-cooked Pulled Pork and also their Fully cooked BBQ Pork? Those would work well as an easy heat-and-eat shortcut here.
I’ve seen them but haven’t gotten the chance to try them out. Now I will have to try them out next time I’m at T.J’s
